Although the entertainment industry is a very tough business, I love what I do and I enjoy sharing what I've learned over the years. When I'm not auditioning or working as an actor, I put my energy into teaching. I specialize in audition technique for television, film, and theater for both kids and adults. I offer private coaching at my home studio in Oak Park, and teach a wide variety of classes in and around Chicago.
Whether you are just getting started as an actor, need to brush up on your skills, or have to prepare for an audition, private coaching is always a step in the right direction. I can work with you privately, with your scene partner, or with an entire group. Each of my coaching sessions is tailored to your needs.
My industry-standard camera studio is located at my house in Oak Park, IL. Complete with camera, backdrop, lighting, and a monitor, the studio is an excellent resource for taping auditions and honing camera skills. There is also plenty of space to work on theater auditions.

Once we schedule our coaching session, please email any relative information including sides (audition scenes), headshot and resume, and/or monologue material. Please be as memorized as possible prior to our session so we can make the best of the time together.
My coaching rate is $100 per hour to be paid in cash or check at the end of the first session. A one-hour minimum is required.
For an additional $40 I can tape your coaching session, edit it, and send you the HD video file within 48 hours. This service is helpful if you need a polished audition sent directly to casting or to an agent. Please let me know if you want this service prior to our session.
I also offer online coaching for $25. You can send me a self tape of your audition, a scene or monologue you're working on, or questions about the business, and I will provide feedback via phone or email within 12 hours.
Great coach who responded immediately to last minute session request. Was put on first refusal for Chicago Fire after our session. He offered constructive feedback and taped our session so I could watch myself, which helped me see what works and what doesn't. I highly recommend Ryan Kitley.
Working with Ryan was a fantastic experience—he coached without directing too much, and always encouraged actors to explore their scenes and to throw themselves fully into their gut decisions. The results were brave, thoughtful, and remarkably powerful moments on stage—I definitely saw my peers transformed into more developed actors.
Amazing teacher, really helped me break out of my shell which allowed me to fully immerse myself into my roles.
